Yamini Nambimadom began performing at a young age, taking the stage for the fitst time in a first grade prodouction of Mary Poppins. She began performing improv with the ComedySportz LA High School League. In college, she wrote & performed sketch and improv with Off Off Campus at the University of Chicago, one of the oldest collegiate comedy troupes in the country. While in Chicago, Yamini studied at the Second City and began performing stand-up at various venues around the city. Upon graduating, a global pandemic propelled her into the digital comedy space. From 2020 to 2023, Yamini hosted and produced the podcast Pillow Fight, a sleepover-style show aimed to foster more accessible conversations about news and culture.Since then, Yamini has curated a unique brand of politically charged, socio-sexual, empowering humor. Her videos poke fun at culturally relevant characters like abstinence-only educators, bad therapists, mommy bloggers, and more.

She has performed stand up around the country, appearing on lineups with the likes of Meg Stalter, Atsuko Okatsuka, and Maria Bamford. After moving to LA, Yamini began co-hosting and producing Chicago 10s, a monthly comedy variety show. Right now, she's focused her energy towards acting and writing. You can catch her in several short films on the festival circuit as well as nationally airing commercial spots. She is also in post-production on her indie buddy comedy, California Sober. Yamini hopes to create work that is campy, honest, and vulnerable. A lifelong jack of all trades, she's drawn to multi-media work that allows her the opportunity to expand her creative horizons. Yamini loves to create collaboratively, opting to write and perform with friends whenever possible.
